Our practice is located at 100 Dacula Rd. in Dacula, GA 30019, and we are proud to serve patients from Dacula and neighboring communities. Carey Norton, DMD, FAGD
Dr. Norton attended Oxford College of Emory University to complete her A.A. degree, and she continued her education at the University of Georgia, receiving a B.S. in Biology in 1985. She attended dental school at Medical University of South Carolina and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (D.M.D.) in 1990.
After dental school, Dr. Norton initially practiced in Athens and Lawrenceville, and then started her own practice in Dacula in 1991. Dacula Family Dentistry moved to our new, larger facility in 2005. Dr. Norton continually pursues education and training in technology, materials, and services that benefit her patients’ oral health and smile confidence. She has achieved Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), an honor which is awarded for completing 500 course hours of continuing education requirements and successfully completing of a written exam.
Dr. Norton has completed DOCS training for oral conscious sedation for dentists, and she provides sedation dentistry for patients who experience a high level of anxiety during dental procedures.
Her studies at the Dawson Academy for TMJ (temporomandibular/jaw joints) and the American Academy of Facial Esthetics have broadened her skills in assisting patients with TMJ disorders and the management of TMJ/TMD symptoms, including facial and jaw pain and migraine headaches.
Using patented Waterlase® technology, Dr. Norton is able to perform soft tissue procedures with less bleeding and swelling compared to traditional surgical treatments.
Dr. Norton enjoys living in Dacula near her family and friends. She is a member of Dacula United Methodist Church and loves playing with her very cool dog, Cooper, and going to the beach.
Dennis Gan, DMD
Dr. Dennis Gan is a general dentist trained to provide the full range of dental care services for patients of all ages. Dr. Gan grew up on the West Coast in the middle of Silicon Valley next door to where the first Tesla factory is located and attended the University of California, Berkeley, for his undergraduate studies in Integrative Biology. Dr. Gan’s adventurous spirit led him on a cross-country journey to the East Coast where he pursued his studies in dentistry at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, graduating with High Honors (Magna Cum Laude).
Dr. Gan is passionately focused on providing the highest level of care by staying up to date with the latest relevant clinical developments. Dr. Gan is dedicated to building a trust-based relationship with open communication to provide a happy dental home for the community.
Dr. Gan is associated with the American Dental Association®, the Georgia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Gan enjoys continuing education and continuous improvement with particular interest in comprehensive dental care including cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and implant dentistry.
Dr. Gan enjoys the outdoors and can be found exploring regional parks and white-water rafting during his spare time. Dr. Gan is looking forward to providing excellence for you and your family!
Shanda
Practice Manager
Shanda became part of our dental family in April 2019. She is proud to be a part of a team that is full of compassion, energy and that enjoys continuing education in dentistry. She brings over 20 years of experience to our practice, which enables her to provide our patients with education and guidance. Shanda’s family is originally from South Carolina but relocated to Georgia. She loves to spend time outdoors, she is a nationally ranked member of the American Pool Players Association, and she loves spending time with her friends and family.
Erika
Treatment Coordinator
Erika joined Dacula Family Dentistry in April 2021. Erika started her career in medical billing and after 20 years switched to dental billing. When she is not at the office greeting you as you come in, she enjoys working out, singing with her church choir and watching University of Georgia football with her husband and two sons. Go Dawgs!!
Karen
Registered Dental Hygienist
Karen has been with Dacula Family Dentistry since 2000. She originally joined the dental profession in 1982; our patients and team all benefit from her wealth of experience as a dental hygienist. She clearly enjoys what she does and wants to help her patients in any way that she can. Karen has a wonderful family. She and her husband, Jerry, have been married for 33 years; they have two daughters, Brooke and Kayla, and a son, Justin. Karen’s favorite hobbies are gardening, fishing and spending time with her children!
Karen (KC)
Registered Dental Hygienist
KC has been with Dacula Family Dentistry since September 2021. She became a dental hygienist in 2001 and graduated from The University of Detroit Mercy with honors. Karen prides herself with being very personable and helping patients feel comfortable.She and her husband of over 26 years moved to Georgia in 2001 and they have two wonderful kids. Her family loves camping with their two dogs (Charlie and Koa), visiting her son at college and watching her daughter play volleyball.
Ingrid
Lead Dental Assistant
Ingrid has been a dental assistant for seven years. She was born in Colombia. Ingrid enjoys fitness, dancing, and spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She joined Dacula Family Dentistry in January 2019 as an expanded duties dental assistant. Dentistry is her passion, and she enjoys making patients laugh!
Gane’e
Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Gane’e (Ja-nae) has been with our practice since 2022. She attended Altierus Career College for two years, receiving a diploma in Dental Assisting. Gane’e is recognized for her warm and comforting demeanor, and she is always willing to go the extra mile for her patients.Gane’e was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, and has a son that recently started Pre-K. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, baking and painting.
Jennifer
Patient & Insurance Coordinator
Jennifer joined our team in February 2025. She has been in dentistry for 3 years. She enjoys meeting new people and helping others. She enjoys and thrives in our supportive office environment.
Jennifer was born and raised in Georgia and has lived in the area for over 20 years. She and her husband Austin have two grown daughters. They enjoy river tubing, amusement parks, shopping and spending time together.
